1. Overview
InterBeat ("we", "our", "us") provides a workout timer and music-assisted training experience on iOS.
This Privacy Policy explains what data InterBeat processes, how it is used, and your choices.
2. Information We Process
InterBeat currently does not require account registration.
We may process the following categories of data on your device:
- Workout and plan data: plan name, set/work/rest configuration, session history, and related settings.
- Music selection metadata: selected Apple Music or local library item identifiers and display metadata required for playback behavior.
- Optional anonymous usage analytics: app lifecycle and feature usage events, controlled by the in-app toggle "Allow anonymous usage data".
We do not intentionally collect the content of your music (for example, song lyrics), comments, or user-generated text for analytics.
In the current public release, InterBeat stores analytics events on-device only and does not transmit analytics, workout history, or music-selection metadata to InterBeat-operated servers.
3. Permissions
InterBeat may request the following iOS permissions:
- Apple Music access: to play Apple Music content during training when you choose to use it.
- Notifications: to deliver workout cue notifications.
- Network access: to support online features such as Apple Music access.
4. How We Use Data
- Run workout timer and session history features.
- Enable music playback behavior you select.
- Improve app quality via optional anonymous analytics.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal data.
InterBeat does not include third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs in the current public release.
Data may be processed through Apple services when you use Apple system capabilities (for example, Apple Music and notifications), subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices.
6. Data Storage and Retention
- Most InterBeat data is stored locally on your device.
- Optional analytics events are stored locally, can be disabled in settings, and are not transmitted off-device in the current public release.
- Local app data remains on your device until you remove the app or reset data.
7. Your Choices
- Disable anonymous analytics in the app settings at any time.
- Revoke Apple Music or notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- Delete app data by removing the app and associated local data.

8. Children's Privacy
InterBeat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
